10 Sailors and a Story That Smells

Here we go again. Another scandalous embarrassment wrapped in an international incident and more questions than answers. No one is saying, Gee, we want truth, what is Washington saying about this? No, once again we hear the story and citizens are left to scour news hoping to discover enough scattered facts to develop their own conclusions about what really happened.

We wont know everything until the sailors themselves are back home and free to talk without federal repercussions. Even then we all know they will be coached, warned and intimidated in an effort to pressure them to back the Administrations spin on events.

We want facts that just are not available yet so lets stick with what we do know and can see for ourselves. Do that and something tells us it doesnt pass the smell test.

We are told a boat was disabled and drifted into Iranian territorial waters. Who says so? Iran and a sailor who was recorded saying so while in custody of the enemy. This is 2016, my kids use GPS to find garage sales. I cannot accept that no one knew 2 naval vessels were not aware of their own location or territorial boundaries. We also know Navy brass does not just send out boats and sit around wondering where they are. They have radar, satellites and Im betting they can link to the craft’s GPS so how can we believe our naval commanders in the region, associated support teams and 2 vessels had no idea where these crews were? I am not buying it. So, if their location was known, why was a disabled vessel not retrieved or defended? Jets could have scrambled to shadow them while our outstanding diplomatic channels were in contact with Iran to explain we were just helping a stranded boat. All of this smells.

Kerry and other spokesmen are championing the results claiming their brilliant diplomatic groundwork led to a fast release. Theres that smell again. First of all, how much diplomatic skill does it take to tell an enemy they are free to make nukes if they promise to tell on themselves while we free up over $100,000,000,000 in funds for them to finance it with? I trust the lottery officials have those same persuasive skills so they can coax the winners into accepting hundreds of millions of windfall dollars—a drop in the bucket compared to what we are gifting to Iran, less than 2% of Irans winnings.

So Kerry and Obama have laid groundwork to get Iran to behave a bit, just long enough to run out Obamas term and they offer a big basket full of loot to bribe them into doing it. Iran responds by grabbing 2 boats our Navy could not track as well as the crab crews on the Discovery Channel track each other. Then our sailors are arrested at gunpoint, hauled in instead of towed to safety, paraded around, the female forced to wear a hijab and the ranking officer forced to record a propaganda video apology. Then they got friendly and returned them. One thing that really bothers me is the apology; I want to know A LOT more about that. The sailor doing the talking had a relaxed demeanor, a smug expression and a few grins while everyone else in the room appeared to be stressed and dejected. Why was he so different? I want to think the best of our active duty boys but Bergdahl and the Ft Hood shooter were active duty too, they are human. Was this guy part of a plan put in place before the boats sailed? I sure hope not but something is very wrong in his video. Watch it again and compare him to the others.

We are told an investigation is under way to determine why one of the boats was stranded. Who tells us it was? The Administration that told us a video caused the Benghazi attacks tell us one boat broke down; no one else has that info until we can talk to the sailors. I want info from a reliable source, not the Administration. How much investigation does it take to determine if or why a boat was broken down? We got it back, try starting it. If it doesnt start grab a mechanic to tell you why, these guys are the best, it should take about 5 minutes. Two days into this and we dont know anything except what the Administration releases but reporters, pundits and citizens who dont stop to ask questions are repeating the info fed to us. Dont fall for it and start asking questions. A Japanese whaling ship doesnt stink as bad as the story we are getting.

So with all this and more up for scrutiny we are left to ponder motives. After all, if this is all wrong there must be a reason for creating the situation. Remember Fast & Furious. Of course the GOP chose to let that scandal slip through the cracks but dead bodies and criminal evidence depict a structured ruse by this Administration to sneak guns to criminal cartels in order to validate their actions on increasing gun control. That has been established, not prosecuted but established. It is fair to suspect this may be another scheme with the intent of demonstrating the Iranians are suddenly sane and reliable regional leaders entirely worthy of the benefits they will reap from the Iran deal which is, coincidentally, scheduled to be launched any day now. Remarkable timing of a beneficial chain of events, huh?

This is a great way to distract citizens from the reality the Administration and a complicit GOP both want us to miss. Our Constitution declares giving aid and comfort to an enemy is treason. (Article 3, section 3) But if Iran can be demonstrated to be a friend then it isnt treason, right? Except they are actively making threats to us, our regional forces and regional allies while actively engaged with supporting the forces who are putting our soldiers in body bags and hospital beds. GOP officials do not want to mention treason because our Constitution demands they swear an oath to defend it ( Article 6) and that means we SHALL remove any President and all civil officers for treason (Article 2, section 4). No one wants to tackle such a big fight in a campaign season, geez, what if it cost them votes by starting the turmoil of actually defending our Constitution instead of just saying they do?

So a pair of boats has a mystery breakdown where an enemy says they arrested and held them for boundary violations and our navy didnt know where they were but an oddly cheerful officer records an apology among distraught crew members and Administration officials spike the ball calling it a minor event among friends just before those enemy-friends are gifted with freedom to make the nukes needed to attack our allies and feed into terror channels with funding we shower them with. Whew, that is a mouthful,

and a noseful. Congress should move immediately to halt the Iran Nuclear Treason deal until the citizens of America have the details of this fiasco and are comfortable with the situation. Of course, who has time for that when they have elections to win?

Nothing about this feels right to me, Not at all. Are you satisfied or do these questions make you wonder what that smell is?
