Cruz Rejects CruzCare!

Our Senate made a mess of the health care action. That was to be expected once Cruz decided to worm his way to the front of it. He should not have chosen such a high profile and complex topic for his camera crowing but it tortured him to see Rand having all the fun.

Rand came to the fray with a lousy bill but after 7 years of talk at least he had one while Cruz only brought talk. As always.

Cruz bungled this from the start. He assembled a small nucleus of Senators to hide away in secret to develop a bill. That was what he said they were doing. Then they roll out 142 pages of limited scope. A plan so obviously incomplete they stuttered around changing the description from a bill to that of a “discussion bill.”

And like the Rand bill this one is nowhere near being the repeal promised.

Cruz rejected the House bill on arrival because it wasn’t a repeal then says, “I’ll get this!” and he comes out with a “discussion bill” with no repeal.

Why bother with all that divisive secrecy in closed door meetings just to come back and say the rest of the Senate has to help fix what you did then complete it?

How the hell can Cruz pretend to run the process then introduce it and say he won’t vote for it?

Two days ago Mike Lee was on CNN blasting the Cruz committee for hiding in secret to draft it. Now he stands beside Cruz in unity against the Cruz outline.

Cruz stood on camera yesterday saying, “We have been working hour after hour right there in my office because this team wanted to keep our promises.”

I thought promises were to be constitutional. How come this and every Cruz plan proposes unconstitutional DC theft by block grants?

No. Maybe he thought he’d look like a leader by saying he called the 12 or so members to his office for committee but they did it in a conference room. Then he refused to vote for what he says he led.

How do you suppose those who were in there with him feel about that?

Now can we get Cruz out of the way and try to get back to a REAL repeal which not one Republican in DC has offered yet?

This is getting old.
