When is a Protest a Crime?

Is harrassment of public officials a “New norm?”

See tar and feathers.

Conservatism has devolved into a form of pacifism and constitutional (historical) rights of assembly, demonstration and protests to express outrage are largely ignored.

The left has always used constitutional rights of demonstration but where are the rules and where does a right become wrong?

The left calls these latest intimidators crowds. The right calls them mobs.

Mob is a word that implies danger but where is the line between a mob and justifiably outraged crowds?

In my own thoughts I’ve decided the venue and personal intimidation by threat of violence make the difference.

It is all political, therefore I do not feel it is right to stalk people in their private lives or homes. It is the left who feigns outrage over bullying yet that is what the latest tactic has become.

As a patriotic supporter of the original Boston Tea Party I do see a place for escalated protests. Singling out individuals for intimidation by crowds is closer to vigilante action than political protest and I see that as the wrong side of the line.

At that point it should become a law enforcement matter because our police are there to protect innocent individuals in public. Disturbing the peace etc gets non-political bad actors jailed so why not in these cases?

F. Lynn Vogel is an Iowa native, father and lifelong patriotic historian. Raised as the son of two well-informed historians he immersed himself in the small family library one room of their home was dedicated to. As an adult most of his work was in manufacturing and product development which then led to consulting and restructuring manufacturing companies struggling in a changing global economic environment. It was there he followed his fathers footsteps into writing and radio work but with a focus on historical aspects of our politics, founding and Constitution which he had studied while getting his formal business training. He is now dedicated to restoring the constitutional greatness of America for future generations, in honor of those who provided so much for us.
