The situation with China and North Korea has become much more dangerous recently.

And as usual, MSM and conservative media is failing to realize it and explain the facts.

Here is what is happening:

Just prior to the Olympics, Kim announced his desire to reverse himself and embrace South Korea as separated family.

This charade played out in joint Olympic competition where North and South functioned as teammates.

The media world accepted this as a conciliatory move from Kim, who is succumbing to the pressures of sanctions.

No. This is a tactical shift by Kim as he hopes to reunite the Korean Penninsula he fantasizes of ruling as Supreme Dictator.

A reunited Korea would have no need for US presence on the 38th parallel, as a speed bump separating the two sides. Our forces on that border protect the 25 million residents surrounding Seoul from the thousands of artillery pieces Kim has aimed at them.

Kim wants us out. The strategy change is too wily for Kim, so it is safe to assume it was devised by puppet masters in China.

As China ramps up responses to the Trump tariffs, they launched an historically massive naval exercise in the neighboring South China Sea.

This drill was a psychological operation more than a military threat to enemies. The purpose was to show the world China is not intimidated by, and will respond to similar drills by the U.S., Great Britain, South Korea and others now puffing their chests in regional waters.

China has consistently claimed and threatened Taiwan opposing their statements of independence. Maintaining Chinese naval strength in that southern region not only pressures Taiwan but also sends signals to the Phillipines, Vietnam and Japan. China, under the now lifetime rule of Xi, is asserting itself as the single, dominant power.

They are confirming it with rapidly constructed bases in the Spratly Islands, now garrisoned to cement their reach of power. Those islands are claimed by several regional nations and have long been in dispute. America does not recognize Chinese claims because the the Spratlys sit in critical trade routes and have enormous resource use and potential.

China dreams of having the US out of the region and getting us out of South Korea accomplishes that goal in the north.

Recently, China called Kim to a meeting which Kim traveled to by train. Whatever the purpose was, the information exchanged was far too sensitive to trust to long distance communication by any method. China called and Kim jumped.

This, while Kim has suddenly changed tactics to remove the need for us to defend South Korea.

Moving ahead, we need to be watching for more moves by Xi and Kim to feign peaceful negotiations toward reunification. The Korean War has never been officially ended. That must be addressed as part of the new strategy.

It was, in my opinion, most likely the central topic for discussions with Kim in China.

Look for that card to be played as Trump negotiates nuclear disarmament of North Korea.

That move would produce a false sense of global good will by the opposition while leaving us as the outdated interloper, no longer necessary and therefore the foreign occupier due to our aggressive policies.

This is a very high level of strategic chess all leading to Chinese expansion to superpower status.

Do not trust any of it.
