Fake News and New Conservatism

We know fake news works but no one ever says, ” Hey, I’m gullible and fall for stuff without stopping to think!”

Misinformation campaigns are crafted to fool those who easily fall for media nonsense or conspiracy theories.

All are distractions that clearly illustrate the limits of people’s common sense or critical thinking skills.

I’ve been watching the fake news and rumors with amusement ever since childhood. It is fun when lefties fall for it but troubling when those on the right do.

The efforts to coerce and destroy conservatism by dumbing down with spin and fake news is out of control.

It is also working very well.

It has a very simple process. A media source can claim to support our Constitution and detest liberals and a majority of conservatives are instantly won over and will believe any crapola dished up to them.

Now it has become an epidemic of rumors so easily sold that many no longer require knowing the source.
Look at Qanon. People fall for that farce without a shred of critical thinking applied even though not one Q-aid drinker knows who the group of writers is behind that fiction. That is a textbook version of gullible.

Now we have people calling themselves “constitutional conservatives” who hope for military tribunals to clean up government corruption!

That is such bizarre unconstitutional nonsense even the Obama liberals never went so far in attempts to consolidate power.

We see conservatives hoping Trump will fire and replace corrupt leaders in other branches. Totally unconstitutional powers of a dictator.

We have conservatives hoping Trump will start a new political party. Do they not realize he is kind of busy and that is not his job? It is ours.

I wonder how we are to save and restore this nation when the conservative experiment once thought to be the solution is now lost in confusion of forgetting our Constitution and falling for so much fake news.

Our only hope is to unite more Constitutional Patriots and keep pointing out the truth.

Lynn Vogel

F. Lynn Vogel is an Iowa native, father and lifelong patriotic historian. Raised as the son of two well-informed historians he immersed himself in the small family library one room of their home was dedicated to. As an adult most of his work was in manufacturing and product development which then led to consulting and restructuring manufacturing companies struggling in a changing global economic environment. It was there he followed his fathers footsteps into writing and radio work but with a focus on historical aspects of our politics, founding and Constitution which he had studied while getting his formal business training. He is now dedicated to restoring the constitutional greatness of America for future generations, in honor of those who provided so much for us.
